The transfer case is machined to place a steel plug for the shaft & seal to rotate through. minimal wear. Because this problem only occurs after a lot of KM's, chances are the transfer case needs a little bit of love, so our local LR independent mob removes your T/case, takes all your internals, inspects & replaces bits where needed, replaces bearings, seals & shims, in a modified case. In essence, you get a new T/case. With no leaks. Bob
