Td5 disco 6&7th seat retro fit

Hi guys, I have searched every topic I can think of but couldn't find what I was after. With the d2 five seater can you fit in a 6th and 7 th seat easily? There is one in particular I am keen on but not willing to blindly trust the word of the seller despite how nice a bloke he seems. Any help would be great. Cheers, Matt

    Yes you can.
Find a 7 seater wreck and goto your hearts content.
Triumph rover spares sells a "retrofit Kit", for around $1500.00 for both seats and all the trim bits and safety belts.
I would ring around to different wreckers for pricing.

Probably a very faint danger of detection but according to ADR you must have rear air suspension to have 7 seats as the 7 seat option was not made without rear air suspension.

You would have to change rego tags and documents, inform RMS of changes which may be complicated. Insurance etc.
Also third row seats have no child restrain anchor points on D2.

In addition to the actual seats, the conversion kit needs to include seatbelts, seatbelt lower mounting brackets, lower side trim panels, upper side trim panels (these and the carpet are not essential as they can be cut to suit), floor seat latch fittings with trim panels, headrests and the trim panel above the rear door. The rear door trim panel/handle on the 7 seater is also different to a 5 seater.

Note: there are two versions of the 3rd row left hand seat and lower side trim panel - for fitting with and without rear aircon.

Thanks guys. Didn't realise that it would be quite so difficult. Nor that expensive. For the time and cost involved it may just be easier to look for a decent 7 seater. If I had to get it engineered it would not be worth it to me.
Once again I really appreciate all the feedback.
Hopefully something better will pop up soon so I can get back out on the tracks.
    Cheers
