    no crank

    Hi all,
This is my first post but have been visiting the site for a year.
Last week I had the clutch replaced in my 2000 TD5. while it was apart I also did the rear main, the slave and clutch cylinders. After putting it all back together I went to crank her over and there was no cranking, lights on the dash were on, battery is fine but there is a round single red light flashing on the dash ? we are thinking it is the original immobilizer light but it has not haD the original since I have had the car a year ? we did disconnect the battery when doing the clutch as we had to remove the starter motor. We also broke of the wires to the speed sensor and replaced them would this be the problem if the wires are around the wrong way ? Im guessing it is nothing too major but may need a nanocom on it to find out the problem Look forward to hearing some replys cheers Simon

Have you tried using the remote to lock and then unlock the car? Sometimes when power has been disconnected for a period of time it all needs to reset. It does sound like the alarm light flashing.
    Cheers Scott

Yes Scott, did it a few times but nothing happened to start the car, do you know what has to be done to reset original alarm system ?

You removed the starter motor to do the work. Have you triple checked that it's reconnected?

Might just be coincidence and the contacts in the solenoid are shot?

Thanks for the reply guys, I went to LR and was advised to the EKA code with the key. I put in the amount of key turns right and left and it overrid the security system getting me on the road eventually.
Cheers Sorry didn't mean to rethread !!!
