engine harness wires to ECU.
I wonder if someone could tell me if the oil running to the ecu from the engine is running inside the wire loom ie. running in the copper, or is it running on the outside of the insulation.?
If it is inside the insulation can I slit the insulation to let the wire "bleed out the oil", before it gets to the ECU plug.?

Inside
Solder and reseal will stop it reaching the ecu

Anywhere before the ECU
Ideally also seal the injector harness to stop oil building up on the connector

Pull the injector plugs apart and solder the cooper strands to the injectors, then I sleeved the plastic plug with heat shrink and filled with high temp silicone. NEVER leaked again:-)

Hi Guys,....
Just found oil in my ECU plug..
So new loom required that needs to be modified from what I am reading here.... (next question...has LR modified original looms to prevent this problem ? and if not, do I need to upgrade the new LR loom )
I need to do a flush of the wiring loom with metho to rid the wiring of oil.
I searched for 3 hours and read all the posts about this problem... What do I need to solder and where...what do I need to silicon up... I gather if I use heat shrink I might delay the re-occurrence...where do I place this?
Thanks for your advice....
