I bought a 2001 about 3 weeks ago, it's currently in the work shop with the head off to be machined.

I'm hoping that's the most of my issues done and dusted and now it's a case of regular maintenance and lots of trips.

I agree the forums here are pretty amazing.

In fact I went to the local Land Drovers club meeting on Monday night, met quite a few great people. Sadly most of the stories about all the things that can go wrong, yet they all love their D2's. Go figure!

    Thank you guy's

I have had in my Discovery so far..
Fuel pump failure, leaking injector washer (air in the system), moved head gasket (air in the coolant), so now I have replacement head from 2002 model after that I had leaking injector (4th) (diesel in the engine oil). starter solenoid problem and some more regular old car symptoms like need a shocks, water pump, etc. But two year is short time to built good car Plan is to renew all important parts like ACE at the time.. a have installed hardwear to use difflock inside the car (from ashcroft).

Disco had 114 tkm when we bought it two year ago, now its 162 tkm so I have use it a lot I use it also in off-road use, so some repairs has come after those trips I love the car, it's good in off- and on road, so I'll try to keep spirit up and lie to my self at one day it will work

I will send a picks when I have had time to instal winch bumper, tree silders, snorkel, dual battery tray, etc.. which I have in storage to wait time to do it

I have owned before (land rovers)
    RRC -80 3.5l manual
    RRC -90 3.9l automatic
    LR Freelander -98 1.8 manual

    Now
LR Discovery 2 Td5 automatic whit SLS and ACE

    I'd like to have
    some old CT Land Rover
    LR D4

Edit: I'm also in AULRO FB pages, if need some help whit items I have had fight already Mika Mäkinen is the name in FB
