    Good that you've got the right tools on order.
    I was in a hurry so I used the airline fitting trick and after not being able to drill the hole out I ground down the diameter of a pergola post bolt until it slid inside. No worries, its been back on the road almost a year now!

    There is an excellent tutorial a fella did pulling the head off a Defender td5, it has excellent advice and pictures. I think its in the Good Oil section here.

    Give it a go, slowly and carefully and you'll save thousands. Not much harder to do than a 20 yo Falcon!

    Hi Dave,
    The pins came the next day. i found the head section in the good oil and have been following the tutorials by Psimpson and the Rave cd...Have the head out and at the shop. i have to say i'm enjoying doing it, it's the biggest fix i've tackled so far.
    next job will be fixing three amigo's, then fit egr bypass.
