You mean it takes a while to lock up in 4th?
Normal, its the TC getting up to operating temp.

    Not owned a modern auto.
Back in my old 3 speed auto falcoon V8 days I would always manually use 1 and 2 to warm the oil up for the first few ks.Reckon I would today if I had an auto.

    Mine can vary.
Every now and then if I really cane it from a cold start it locks up quite quickly.
Other times when I'm being gentle it can take a while, but it's always locked up by 5-6 kms.

Someone with the figures will be along soon but IIRC the ambient air temperature has a bearing on how quickly the vehicle can/will lock the torque converter. Tomorrow. I'll find it tomorrow.

It's still tomorrow now in Murgon Scott....is Eidsvold in some kind of parallel space/time continuum?

[goes off to finish the washing up so he can search for post referred to yesterday...thanks for the reminder Scott!]
