I have D2a currently without headlining would you like some foto's to help you decide.
1. Do you Really want to do this???
2.How much work is involved ??
3.would it be easier to extend front ducting to the rear??
IMHO item 3 is your best option as the piping from the engine bay requires almost complete dismantle of underside of car to fit A/C pipes.also the wiring loom is a bitch to replace as i have done that one too.there is plenty of room between head lining and roof to fit more ducting with possibly a small booster fan.you also could extend the floor ducts through the console to the rear and under seats 3,5.
let me know if you want some foto's
cheers
Paul
Cheers Paul that would be awesome. I am thinking a patch loom wouldn't be to hard to wire in with a sparky mate and possibly easier to make new aircon lines as well. Hadn't thought of extending the front ducts don't think it would be very efficient.
Maybe the 12v compressor from a d3 would be an easier thing to fit being mor stand alone I could run it from the second battery even.
Separate circuit for d3 cooling system and d2 switch and ducting in the roof. There is a lot of room behind that back trim.
I am thinking factory heat exchanger with new stand Alown wiring using factory on of and three stage fan. Anyone know if the BCU has anything to do with the rear aircon. Seems to be on or off and three fan settings is all.
