New Gators fitted

Raiding the washing line for cloth pegs, SWMBO is probably looking for those ;)
Never needed pegs when using contact cement glue to hold them in place. Did a few and just spread the contact to both sides, let it tack off and fold over the plastic frame. Instant grip and usual straight way.

I probably have more than 10 different glues to choose from in my house from various sorts of RC modeling. I keep the really fast stuff for field repairs when I crash and want to fly again straight away. CA with baking soda for accelerator will set to full strength in a matter of seconds.

I found the gaiters a bit hard to get fitted perfectly so this way I had time to get it in just the right position.

X 2 on the fit being a bit off. Mine fit ok but if they'd allowed about 6 or 7mm more all round the edges it would have been easier to fit and they wouldn't have been quite so tight.

I smiled when I saw your photo of them being fitted with their medley of clothes pegs...it was a carbon copy of when I did mine.

I can definitely recommend doing the steering wheel and console cover...more places to sniff when you need a 'leather smell' fix. I wish I had a black leather interior. That'd compete my Disco for mods for a long while.

I'd imagine the steering wheel would be a little difficult to get right?

Same as mine, I had more issue with the handbrake one than the hi-lo one though.

Pig of a job from what I understand.
If I could justify the cost I'd get a factory leather wheel sent over from the UK.
Console lid is easy as though.
You can also get a real leather shifter nob.

Actually I didn't find to too difficult. Watched the instruction videos on you tube and then it took a couple of hours tops to do.

My transfer lever gator was also tight but it stretched it over, and made it easy to align up and before applying the cement.
