    Transmission cooler recommendations?

I've got a 03 D2 V8 and are looking to tow a caravan a few times a year. My mechanic said that he believes that there is only a couple of specific cooler that fit.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers

I don't know of any made to fit units, but there are a few of us who have fitted universal units. Do a search and there's a few threads about it with specific details and pictures (including one of my own).

I will highly recommend the additional cooler that Davis Performance Landies sell. It's also pressure rated as required by this transmission.

Thanks. I just stumbled across that one when searching the web. I might just give them a call.

when i fitted the auto to my 110 i used just the heat sink type cooler mounted on the bull bar which works very well but later fitted a ebay type pipe/radiator cooler in line between the radiator and intercooler so when the thermo fans are on it also helps with the cooling, the heatsink cooler also increases the fluid volume which i think helps

I bought a PWR external fin with 1/2" push on barbs, for just that reason. British Off Road fitted it without question. sits way up front near the grill.

Heat sinks can be put anywhere..including inside a chassis rail as long as air is around them. I considered them but went for B&M Super Coolers on both our D2'S. See twr7cx post . Much cheaper to fit them yourself too .
