If you are living down the south, I would recommend Land Rover Parts - Contact as they have 2" bilsteins package but it comes with either terrafirma or bearmech coil. Check their website, I personally think is a very reasonable price but I just doesn't like bearmech coil.
Hi Gents,
Just like to share some info, I have just got a chance to get myself a bilstein BE5-B994 & B995. Got it from bodeos4u.com.au for the price of $810 inc p&h. The best offer is from rover parts.com.au, the lowest they will offered is $900+gst.
My next step is either get a dobbinson 2"coil spring or king coil. Anyone know where I can find the best price for Dobinson coil? I can get king coil $300 for F&R set.
Should look into installing those early next month when I get down to Victoria.
Mate my brother sells and fits both at his 4x4 customising shop. He reckons Dobo over the Kings.
I ended up with Bilstein and Dobinson stock plus 20 front progressive and rear linear and it ended up 40mm up all round. Ride and handling are superb - excellent upgrade. I had stock springs and Dobinson shocks (very good, but not instant reaction like Billies) before.
I towed my 2 tonn boat the other day with 14 pound in the rear bags and the ride was very nice. It was like the dual axle was just getting flung around for the ride.
Cheers
I just did a DIY 2' Dobinsons coils and shocks from Dobinsons. All incl $995 delivered to my door. It was easy enough to do.
It takes about 3-4 hours at home in the driveway. I was in no hurry so it could be done much quicker.
I took it to Fraser for two weeks after the install and I can not recommend it enough. The shocks worked very well and the coils handled the load exceptionally well.
I hat the D2 '04 very well loaded. Winch and bar, cull length roof rack with tooooo much gear on and a jetski.

I highly recommend them. The after sales service at Dobs is also top class.
PM me I'll be happy to answer q's if you have any
I had trouble trying to justify paying $900+ for a 2 inch kit for my series 1 disco so I started to look at the options abroad. M&M 4x4 seem to be the nuts. I ordered a 2 inch heavy duty set of shocks and coils ( Terraferrma ) . They arrived less than 2 weeks later and only cost me $400 delivered to my door. I have put them through their paces a couple of times now and couldn't be any happier with the result. You can get Terrafirrma gear here but it seems to be quite a bit more expensive.
M&M 4x4 are worth a look definately. Along with the 2 inch lift kit I bought 4 slotted rotors, and the poly block for the tail shaft and 4 ball joints for the steering. The whole lot delivered was $950 to my door.:D
As for Terrafirrma shocks and coils all good will use again when these have had it.:p
Hi Alvin
I went direct to Dobinsons in Rockhampton. I'm only 300km from there so I had them sent out. They have a HD 2' coil they sell. After changing out the front my before and after measurements gave me a true 2' lift front and rear. It still sits very nice after some very good use on my recent trip.
If you're looking around for shocks go Dobinsons I'd say for sure. It's a premium shock at a very reasonable price. They have '2 big bore shocks to suit and they perform! No fading on corrugation.
Peace of mind is that you will have service after the sale. I had a bit of oil come out of my left front shock with less than 3000km on it. After a quick phone call I was assured that it is not a leak but rather a pre-lube used in assembly. Sometimes a bit too much is used in the assembly process and it runs off. I was offered a free replacement shock if I had concern or if after cleaning the shock it still leaked within a week or so. Turned out no leak so no worries!
The heavier coils will give a firm ride but by no means uncomfortable. If your coils are still standard you'll soon realize how shagged they are.
I reccomend suspension stuff.
no muss no fuss
