I ran all mine down the passenger side pillar and through the visor mount holes (remove visor pull wires through and remount), to rectify the bouncing mic problem I pulled apart the clip holder and placed a small bit of cardboard in the center which makes it hold in the tighter. I'll run out and take a photo

I ran mine the same way... I think after asking the same question when I first joined the forums.

Was the easiest to do, and works well. In the 6 months or so since I did it, I have had no problems at all.

To stop the mic falling just get some 3M Dual Lock tape which is like Velcro only much stronger. 25MM square will hold 14Kg and easy to pull apart.

I stuck my Iphone to the dash and perspex on the rear window of my RRC and neither moved at all except when you want them to.

Anywhere you going to mount, just make sure you get a clean power direct from battery is the best to prevent any interference.
