Rotor slotted

Thanks for all the info. I ordered dba T2 and hopefully they will be here today or tommorow.

Anyone know which one is harder, dba t2 rotor or bendix brake pad?

I had rotor ribbing on the old one. I got this from the old pad not currently that I have on the car. Do I need to replace the pads as well while replacing rotor?

If the rotor is harder it might smooth out the old pad. As there might be a bit or ribbing on the pad from the old rotor. Otherwise I guess I need to replace the pad as well before it ruins the new rotor. Thanks.

Don't run old pads on a new rotor. Get brand new brake pads for it.

Rotors are always much harder than the pads for road vehicles. I also agree with new rotors and new pads.

If rotors were always harder than pads why do we need to change rotors. I had to change rotors after 2 years because of excess wear & hard pads.

They both have a wear rate, a difference in hardness doesn't imply that one is totally sacrificial over the other. Many pads are designed to be easy on rotors.

OE rotors have a minimal wear allowance compared to aftermarket rotors also.

You usually will go through a few sets of pads before you have to replace the rotors.
Depending on what pads your using will also depend on how long the rotors last.

I generally get 1 rotor to 2 pads but YMMV.
