    Brake Light Fuse

Sending my daughter to swimming lesson and someone told I have no brake light at all. All three of them. Anyone know which fuse is for the brake lights? Very unlikely all of the three gone at the same time. Thanks.

Do you have the owners manual? One under the dash on the drivers side but I also think there is one under the bonnet. Not sure as I don't have my manual in front of me.

I got dibs on it's not the fuse but the brake light switch. They were about $30 about 1.5 years ago. Got mine from the UK for $10.

Check your fuses first but I'm leaning towards the switch. The brake light switch is an easy job and you can also check this by placing a wire across the terminals.

    Regards
    Andrew

Fuse F25 in the passenger compartment under the fascia below the steering wheel is for both the brake & reverse lights. If you have reverse lights, & no brake lights, the brake light switch could be the culprit. Bob

    Thanks guys.

I did check the manual when arrived home. Yes it is fuse 25 but on the book it says 25A but on the cover it says 15A.

Anyway checked that and fuse is good. Checked all the brake lights and yes they all gone and yes they all gone at the same time. Changed all of them and all good now.

I just remember I tried to charge my new iphone through usb charger before left home. It could be the cause.

    Thanks again. Gus

Gus, I would keep checking your brake lights for a while, the only item common to all three bulbs is the brake switch, as far as I can work out. The RH light also has a separate earth point to the LH, & top light. Bob

Hope you got it sorted. My fuse kept blowing due to moisture in the lamp in the bumper. Fixed and all good. Was a broken gasket.

So far so good but now keep asking wife or daughter whether the lights are ok before going anywhere

Yeh since that I'm always paranoid about my lights so I've been checking intermittently. Hopefully this spate of troubles is over for another few months .
