    Urgent Help Wanted

Hi everyone I new to this site as I need some help with my Bloody Land Rover Discovery II 2000 Model. Have had so many problems with this car and it continues . After some advice please. I been having problems with it over heating think mainly due to an air block. But last week it kept over heating so I had to keep stopping and cooling it filling with water and going again trying to make it home. I thought I had it fixed cruising along the highway with the gauge staying on half way until it just died cut out completely and will not start , It turns over but wont fire. The oil seems fine as I thought it might of cracked the head. Any Ideas or suggestions would be awesome as I have already spent more than the cars worth on the damn thing. l totally love my rove when its going nice which isn't very often I was also thinking when I was bleeding it to get the air out the water may have sprayed onto something electrical?? but it was going then just cut out no too sure Oh yeah its a V8

There;s only the top hose to bleed, but you do need to pull and raise the header tank when filling, making it the highest point in the system. How old is the radiator? Mine never really over heated but would vary between 93 and 98 degrees (and higher on occasions) changed to a new radiator and it became more stable and dropped some (with new coolant as well) and changing to a cooler thermostat from a freelander (the grey one) and it sits on 88 degrees all day, except on the freeway where it'll drop to 84.

The gauge is a joke, starts moving at 50 degrees, his middle at 77, stays there until 102 or so and then rockets to the top (and warning light) at 107, by then it's all over.

Not starting, is there any response? Starter noise for instance?

    Tassie tribulations

I have passed on JC's contact details.

AlexH and myself are wondering if the in tank fuel pump is dying, would explain the overheating prior to the car stopping.

I can drop around today to check it out as I am going into Hobart to pickup a 900 kg swivel base crane.
