    SLS Functionality Question (Fob vs Transport Mode)

    Quick question, does the lowered suspension (via remote) work differently to transport mode?

    The reason I ask is when I use the nanocom to put it in transport mode it goes all the way to the bump stops, whereas with the remote I have just purchased it seems to stop about 50mm from the bump stops touching (I do have spacers, extended bumpstops and brackets on the height sensors).

    I'm no expert but my understanding is transport mode is for when the vehicle is being transported like when it came out here by ship. Obviously the dealer cancels that prior to sale. Its not for any kind of normal driving use. The remote is probably just changing height in the normal use range. My guess would be that the remote by itself can't put it into transport mode.

    I did think that but rave does say the remote should lower it to the bump stops.

    Can anybody who has one confirm please?

    Both should lower to the stops.

    The difference will be that transport mode keeps the vehicle on the bump stops until the ecu is taken out of transport mode.

    The fob lower is over ridden when the vehicle travels above 5kmh for more than 10 seconds.

    Thanks - so any ideas what I could be doing wrong or is it that my spacers are confusing the ECU?

    I think you have hit the nail on the head.

    Transport mode lets all the air go, and there it stays until it is told otherwise.

    The lowering remote lets the air out of the bags, which in a normal car, would put it on the stops, but only just, leaving more air in the bags, so the compressor doesn't need to work as hard to re-inflate.

    There would be a "lowered" height, which the ECU thinks it is reaching when you lower it via the remote.

    I cant recall properly, but you could probably be able to set this lower height via a Nanocom.

    I'd say it's probably the brackets for the height sensors. They will move the "on bump stops" position upwards by the length of the bracket. The gap should be the difference between the extra length of the extended bump stops and the length between mounting holes on the spacer.

    Doing a quick search most extended bumpstops are +30mm. How much longer are the sensor brackets?
