Thread: Rear ABS Sensor replaceable?

Thank you for the great advice. It is really great to get onto a forum like this where people take the time.

Being somewhat mechanically minded I decided to go down the path of performing some surgery on the ABS Modulator as per justinc's suggestion in his last post, to get rid of the "3 amigos".

On Tuesday avo I grabbed my laptop, placed it on the workbench, opened up the instructions and got to work. Reading through the instructions I realized that to perform Option B you don't have to remove the modulator side. If you follow steps 19 to 23 and then from 27 on wards you are ok. You only need to remove the SVS cover plate.

It took me less than 2 hours to complete the task, thanks to the well laid out instructions.

Went for a drive immediately after (still have to clear the error codes)...no more 3 Amigos.... until this morning. They appeared again and this time they brought a friend along in the form of the handbrake light

Guess I have to look somewhere else.
