It has never worked before. Now fixed thanks to the help from these forum members above. I just wanted to make sure what I have is correct and it seems to be so.
I loaded the boat I have just painted to return it to the owner. The trailer lowered the back of the rover and I thought for a moment I was in trouble. By the time I had it out of the hanger , it was up to normal height again.
I am loving this car even more now. The compressor was the last fix needed so now I am happy.

Give it a few months; still wouldn't want to drive anything else.
