Just an update.

I fitted the REAIRSKIT.UK alternator regulator and brush box kit during the week.

It was a very easy DIY job and was liberating to say the least.

I ran it last night after coolant change and while waiting for the bleed (that is not yet complete).

Volt Meter read a good consistant 14.3 Volts so all up very very happy.

Will be interesting under load and when the car comes to full temp to see if it holds up.
