D2 reverse camera mounts

I ran mine out from the door with the other wiring and up to the roof, i used a piece of electrical conduit bevelled off at 30deg,then took the rear headrest cover off and pulled the headlining main shell down just enough to fit the conduit in and pushed it forward while rotating and it came out near the mirror pulled a good thick piece of string back to the rear and the cable forward again,
Job done put everything back
finished!!

Neatest monitor would probably be to replace the headunit with a single DIN multimedia unit with a flip out screen. This is what I have and intend to use (Clarion V402A).

That area is reserved for my iPad with my mapping apps :)

Affix camera to center rear of roof rack. Run cable through existing black plastic bung in roof. Excellent view when parking or for trailer. Can also double as rear view mirror if cargo area full

Didn't think the iPads had GPS technology? At least that's what I read somewhere when trying to use my iPad with my tom tom app. Had my phone as a hotspot for wifi and didn't work. Maybe with a 3G iPad?

I'm planning on using another head unit with a flip up screen and also have a reversing camera attached too.

To continue the diversion just a little. 3G iPad, MudMap, Memory map, Bitmap, Metroview. You might say I have a thing about maps :) It works well.

I use a 7" colour monitor/mirror which clips over the existing rear view mirror. Nice big screen, doesn't obstruct view. Ran the mirror cabling under the edge of the roof lining near the windscreen, then down the rhs 'A' pillar to behind the panel next to the accelerator pedal. Then bring the camera cabling from the rear under the door jam.

Can get mirror monitor for about $45 on ebay.

The GPS in an iPad is only in the cellular models. As like most Mobile phones the GPS chip is part of the cellular chip.

You can use a Bluetooth GPS to get a GPS signal to a wifi only iPad.

As for reversing camera. I havent done mine yet. But plan on using an indash flip out screen stereo. ANd mount the camera under the high mount stop light.
My dad has his mounted in the spoke of a wheel on his 80series spare wheel carrier. And being slightly offset is annoying when trying to reverse.
