That has to be worth some thought, Thanks.
In another thread I posted a question about the dreaded 3 amigos. I even performed a few of the suggestions put forward by some of the guys that responded. All good stuff I must say. None however resulted in the 2 amigos finding someone else to bug......
During a bit more "GOOGLE" time I stumbled on a short entry by a guy that installed a new radio into his D2. He connected the negative wire to the middle connection on the negative bar that is positioned behind the main battery. The 3 amigos paid him a visit soon after that. He too went through all sorts of diagnostics until someone asked him if he did something just before it started happening. That triggered some thinking and he relocated the negative wire for the radio. No more friends.
That made me think as well. I recently installed a dual battery system an I connected the negative to that same terminal. Relocating the negative to the left most terminal appeared to have resolved my issue as well. I have not had the 3 amigos returning for 3 days now (they used to come around every time I drove the car).
It begs the question. How many of our electronic issues are maybe "self made"?

Thats worth checking on mine, previous owner had some spot lights installed.
Looks like a good job but little things like that are easy and worth checking
With the wet season coming I want to banish the three amigo's
thanks

I had my driving lights grounded to the middle connection. Made the change last night, then drove to Cairns and back in situations that would normall set it off.
The amigos did not make an appearance.![]()
If they don't appear in the next couple of weeks I will call it a success.![]()
