is the vibration under load/accelaration and go away when you back off.

Seems that i have just noticed something like this - mine occurrs under load/accelaration around 110+ to 120 kph ATM.
Glad this thread is here as it gives me something to look for.

The vibration is there pretty much all the time. It is not noticable until around 110km/h.

I have similar vibration feel, but at 140 km/h. It seems more evident on the left hand part of the D2, under my feeds. All engine/transfer mounts were changed recently. Currently running with a 1" lift, after some severe problems with a 2" lift.

    Update

    G'day all.
I took the Disco for a run on the freeway this morning to try to pin point the vibration at 105-120km/h. I tried getting up to speed and engaging clutch, vibration there until speed dropped below 110. The same result was obtained when put into neutral, T/C in neutral, engine off and handbrake slightly pulled. Rev the TD5 in neutral, stopped, it's as smooth as a TD5 can be.
So, I'm thinking driveshaft imbalance, wheel balance out. It does not seem from these findings flywheel, clutch or G/box related.
    Thoughts.....?
    Regards

If all else fails, it could be your tyres. I've been chasing a vibration for a couple of months now and finally found it was the tyres after I rotated them and the vibration disappeared. I have a tyres with a fairly aggressive tread (Cooper ST Maxx) which are at least 4 years old. I can only think the compound is getting hard and the tread pattern creates a harmonic vibration at certain speeds. I am told the tread blocks can become slightly wedged as they wear and this can cause noise and vibration too.

Looking up a British LR forum, the consensus of opinion was uni joints and/or 'Donut'. Usually comes in between 100 and 115 and is a low-frequency but strong vibration.
Lifting a Disco will shorten the life of both the front and rear joints on both prop shafts...

Could be a warped rear brake rotor like one of mine .
