O'briens did mine recently, 3week wait for LR original from uk, worth the wait. :)
No idea cost was insurance but needed extra day to fit as they broke the plenum had to order new. :D

x 2 for the wait. Better off waiting and being patient for a proper job.
I'm loving the strike rate for windscreen replacement versus plenum.
I also hope people are getting the picture. Plenums are a sitting duck when it comes to windscreen replacement so either request to have the plenum removed or take liability (also take photos).
By the way, A-pillar covers are a crap design and these are also high on the casualty list with regards to windscreen replacement.

obrians got back to me (the only place that will do genuine)
it will needs to be shipped from the UK, if they have stock.
cause im not doing this though insurance, the shipping makes this cost prohibitive.
have to check the wreckers, jagspares in melbourne might have one too offer. :)
Winscreen o'brains have replaced 2 screens in my d2 no problems they also backed it with a written warranty some thing I have found the others wouldn't do and there warranty is good at any o'brians nationaly.
got it replaced with an aftermarket one for 285$
turns out the cracked windscreen wasnt an original anway.
it was done by complete windscreen.
they mob here each own a discovery :)
As far as I know it's not possible to replace the windscreen without removing the plenum. It's the remove and refit of the plenum itself that is problematic.
The breakages occur when the plenum is removed without removing the bonnet. It is definitely possible to get the plenum off and on with the bonnet in place, but it takes a fair bit of manoeuvring around the bonnet hinges and a lot of care to avoid cracking.
cheers

On the same page there Paul. Also for consideration, the plenum has these 'fingers' on the underside which helps the plenum pull in tight to the windscreen. Another reason why the plenum needs to be removed.
