Aldi worm drives? I wont use any worm clamps other than a name brand, Utilux,Tridon, etc. Not worth the risk IMHO. As I have a varity of vechiles to play on, quads,Trucks, Rovers,Hondas, Etc I splashed out and got a set of clamp pliers 9pc Hose Clamp Clip Plier SET Swivel JAW Flat Band Angled Removal Tool F198029 | eBay
Whilst they are not top quality they will stand the odd use oki.

I have found over many years that all screw clamps with angled slots will distort if tightened enough and that once tightened without distortion will hold well.
ALDI clamps are sufficient for the job.
I have ordered a spring clamp tool from China but will stick with teh screw clamps for now.

    haha I second that.....
Although personally I think people are too soft and have been used to "easy Japanese" vehicles.

As my dad used to say "no point in complaining as nobody is listening"

    Strange leak

I saw a leak on a TD5 last week in a unusual place.

Still waiting on the taste test.

Work smarter not harder.... Plenty of ways to do the jobs..

Some quicker than others... Ironically, the quickest way often removes more parts

Fuel cooler is a 10 minute job

First surprise is it had green coolant but that didn't matter as I flushed it.

The first engineer on my hit list is the idiot that designed the "hidden hose". they must have fitted it before the engine was dropped into the car as the only way to replace it was to bend the pipe after undoing a bellhousing bolt with a bracket on it. Why have a hose at all? Why didn't they just have an onion and screw on connector.<snip>

All in all not much fun .

May I recommend not using Onions on your Land Rover
