D2 TD5 handbrake trap for unwary

OK as in previous posts I have welded the backplate , fitted new shoes etc to the handbrake to stop the vibes which it has done.
HOWEVER when I received the new shoes they came with a new adjuster bolt, with dire warnings to use the new bolt as it had loctite on it to stop the adjuster vibrating loose.

Well guess what, the damned bolt kept on vibrating loose.

It turned out that the loctite had been applied in the wrong place.

Instead of half way down the bolt as on the original , the loctite was right at the end and the end goes right through the adjuster wedge so it kept unwinding with good old TD5 vibes. So today I refitted the original bolt with a good clean and added loctite in the CORRECT place.

    GRRRRRRR!

    Regards Philip A
This required ONCE AGAIN taking off the drum, as when you loosen the bolt, the adjuster wedge moves out from between the shoes and spins.
