Hey everyone, am looking to have two separate switches for spotlights and an LED light bar, but wanted to use the 'buttons' (for want of a better word) that are already on the D2 dash but not being used for anything (eg. the bottom three in the attached picture). Didnt think i could explain it properly so ive attached this picture, anyone know of a rocker switch etc that fits into these slots or if these can be converted into switches?
Thanks in advance
Baz

OK thanks Benji ill start there and see how I go!
You will need to use a latching switch base, with a cover to indicate lights. Personally I bought a cruise control switch with connector and a few inches of wires, and a rear foglight switch like the one in the picture, then swapped the cover from the foglight switch onto the cruise switch. This gives a latching base with a light indicator. I then carefully trimmed the top edge of the cover so that it has the cutout required to allow it to be depressed when in the new lower position (it's got an upper "shroud" on it as it's normally used on the top of the binnacle).
Then went to www.discovery2.co.uk** Driving / Spot Lamps and followed the info from the 6th image and below.
Switches can be bought on eBay from various vendors, I'd suggest you call Discovery Spares on 03 9870 0542 and tell them what you want to do, they'll have the switches at good prices.

As mentioned above, you will need the cruise control switch mechanism for it's latching capabilities.
Then you can get a front fog lamp switch and auxilary driving light switch and use the covers of those so that you have unique pictures on each switch.
eBay is the easiest source, look through the international listings.
