    Clicking front doors

After losing the roll pins from both front door check straps I replaced with bolts. Now I get two very loud clicks as the doors open to full extent. Any ideas why this happens and is there a fix?

I get the 2 clunks from the drivers door when opening and closing.
It maybe a broken weld on the check strap bracket to A pillar.

    Still to fix mine...

Years and years ago I think mine did that too - check strap in the A pillar. I'd forgotten all about that!

It's movement where the pin goes through.

Mine does it as well. CBF reaming it out and fitting a larger pin.

Thanks for the advice. I got new pins and fitted them and the noise has gone away. The welded attachments points look ok but I got a bit of extra tightening on the check strap nuts.

All good now and if you need the pins it is part number BDH100050L $1.80 from LRA.
