It does sound like I'm just delaying the inevitable, doesn't it.....but this engine temp reading is the last thing before I have the TC inspected/replaced with the original. When we say the TC though, we are referring to the lockup clutch specifically, right? I mean, what else can go wrong with a TC. They're near solid steel.
Because I love my heart rate racing, I put on the original ecu code. This made no difference to the lockup (went back to the beach). I have to say, how anyone can drive a Td5 in standard form is beyond me......just terrible......slow to respond, no power to get up hills. A dull drive. But back to it....
I have to find out where the gearbox ecu reads it's temps from and how it does it.
