Might be a bit of a long shot, but check the bonnet switch. Might have been bumped during the battery change.
Either that, or maybe one of the relays or fuses has been slightly dislodged.
I'm not at home at the moment, but have had to fit a new battery on the road to my MY 04 D2a TD5 auto. Now each time I lock the car, the alarm goes off after about 30? seconds. I have my Nanocom Evo with me, but no RAVE or other manuals. Any ideas? If not JC in Kingston might be getting a professional rather than a friendly visit!

Thanks - I did try/check that forst off.
Well, I think I've found the problem. Because of the failed battery, I've been using a permanently powered on 12V plug to keep the fridge working. Then when I lock the car, there seems to be an interaction between the two and the alarm goes off. Disconnected the fridge for a while and locked up - no alarm set off so far! Now my front passenger window winder has carked it so a vist to JC in Hobart is on the cards.
