Unstoppable force and unmovable object meet abruptly with minor consequences
Had an issue with an unstoppable force (the Disco roof rack) making contact with an unmovable object (low hanging section of steel pipe in an underground car park), with the Disco coming off the worse for wear. No real damage, but the roof rack has torn off the plastic attached to the gutter of the Disco at that point, about 10cm worth, and the metal gutter underneath seems to be quite intact.
Now, there are a few cracks in the plastic along the gutter, and I'm considering just tearing the whole lot off anyway, but I wouldn't mind knowing, is it possible to replace the plastic that covers the gutter? Is it only there for aesthetic reasons?

I'm sure you can get the plastic gutter moulds, don't have the part numbers on me though.
