If it was not for looking at the contents of this thread, I would not have released the topic is about fuel leaks in a TD5.

Well I am having the same issue on a 2003 D2a. TOPIX does not mention this is an outstanding issue on my vehicle.

Can you actually see what recalls have been completed on the vehicle when you enter VIN? Do you have to register and pay for this?

I went to the closest dealer to get it replaced. They gave me the name and address of the dealership who did the recall work. He suggested that it probably wasn't done correctly, as the replacement was moved 6 inches and is not rubbing against anything.

I contacted the dealer that did the recall work, they cannot tell me what work was actually done, and they are not responsible for anything as it was so long ago.

    Off to fair trading now.

I can handle general wear and tear, but when a design fault is identified, and the same problem continues after its been "fixed" I get a bit frustrated and would certainly expect more from Land Rover.

The vehicle is 10 years old. I am the second owner.
There is a possibility that the fuel tank has been out or the pump has been replaced. But if the bracket itself was moved due to the recall, wouldn't that be the only place the fuel lines could be attached too?

Wouldn't land rover have a document outlining how to repair the problem that they issue to all dealerships when the recall was issued?

There was no bracket involved in this recall as far as I'm aware. It was a new fuel hose fitted & the instructions just told the dealer how to route it to stop chafing against other lines.
If the tank/pump has been out for any reason, it would be easy enough to fit the pipes in another layout & so recreate the original problem.
