When a cooler hose blows off does the pump empty the whole system? Is it to much of a risk to pull the fill and drain plug and run the car for 10 seconds to pump out as much only stuff as possible? Not going the get real hot doing that. Also thought is it effective to remove one of the "quick" connect hoses from the cooler and use compressed air to force the old stuff out of the system. Would that also push the old fluid out of the TC?

Might be simpleton thoughts by my thoughts none the less. Cheers Matt
the QD's on the coolers are not the most reliable and no, the pump will only lift whats in the pan, once the TC is full it stays full as long as its turning. short of pulling the gearbox removing the TC and fitting a new one theres no easy way of draining it, it also holds the lions share of the oil. I do know of someone who drilled one of the mounting blocks for the TC through the center of the threaded hole and then used a rubber seal and the mounting bolt to create a drain for the TC.

My advise
spend the money on the oil, do it right the first time and then stay on top of progressive maintenance.

you could but I wouldnt reccomend it, the whole process only takes about 2 hours to do.
