mine runs in front of the radiater then down the left side chassis rail up through the hole below the tail light[remove the tail light for access through the aircon vent,I dont have the bins as it is a seven seater,but the battery is an ark box [the one with the built in battery charger]so i can plug it in to a mains power if i have one near,I make the box secure by a strap between the two existing tie down points,this way i can have a much larger battery currently an n70 size.

Removed R/H/S cargo box
Ark battery box and Century Deep Cycle AGM 120Ah
Drivesafe of Traxide as I write this is organising the cabling to connect these up to the main battery.
I will need to support the not inconsiderable weight of the battery once in the box and resting up against the space where the pocket was - I'm thinking of a cheap plastic cutting board from Coles cut to size should be fine as it will be hidden under the interior trim beneath the battery box.
Lastly a battery tray to secure the box and battery into place - Ebay seems to have a multitude of these options
I was considering using one of the Arc PowerPacs there as it's already got the sockets and plugs built in. Any thoughts?
I did look at the Ark Power Pack, it has plenty of features that would be quiet useful. The reason I went for its more basic cousin was because I really wanted a plain battery box simply to hold the battery and cover the +ve -ve terminals. Once I have this installed I'll wire in a fuse box and something like a Baintech distribution panel at a later date to keep all the sockets in one spot.Quote:

I have never used the built in plugs as i can't find i cig lighter plug that hasn't a large voltage drop, I have made up some short anderson plug extension leads.
I've had 2 x td5's and had 1 x in the left bin and 1 x in the right. My last one the only reason for for going left was it was the only bin I could get at the time and as my controller cables were too short to run down the left side through firewall to battery I had to cross to the right and ran cables under the scuff sill covers. Mine was an 120 A/H but could fit bigger (longer) .Here is the link and pics of my last install if anyones interested. Right is probably easier to use.

Hi Sharkee, your post was one of the ones that inspired me to fit my Aux battery into the rear pockets., its a good one, thank you for putting it up.
Do you have a photo of where you brought the +ve -ve cables into the rear cabin? I've worked out how to bring mine down from the engine bay, along the chassis then I am a little unsure how/where to bring them into the rear ???
Ive removed the right side rear interior panels so its all exposed, there is a big square piece of rubber covering an access hole, I was thinking in through there, but would be handy to know if there is a better way first.
