Sorry to drag this back up again, we're the bolts you purchased a heavy duty upgrade, or just fresh bolts for peace of mind?
If they were heavy duty what specs were they?
Did the Tom Woods shaft use the same size bolts, or did you have to make adjustments to fit?
Looking to order one very soon.
What is the benefit of a tom woods shaft? Apart from being able to order a specific length.

It was just a new set of bolts for piece of mind. New ones exactly the same as the old.
The Tom woods prop shaft is a lot more heavy duty, and the double Cardan model will accommodate a few inches of lift. It's also got grease nipples all over it, including the bit where the spline is.
I bought it hoping it would last many times longer than the other alternatives, so I don't have to do the job again anytime soon..

Yes, Jeep Konnection (procomp) are now selling the Ton Woods Shaft for D2 for$585. Great price and well worth the money.
Jeep Konection was great to deal with, got my quote via email, and gave me 'club' discount without asking.
Called them late yesterday figuring it would be sent Monday, he let me know the truck had just arrived so he would rush around and make sure it went out Friday. Very thankful as a lot of distance can be covered over a weekend when traveling between Melbourne and FNQ.
One email, one phone call and it is on the road to my place, very happy.

A single UJ is not a true constant velocity joint and so runs into trouble when it's used to transmit drive at an angle beyond a fairly shallow deviation. e.g. when used on a vehicle with a lifted suspension.
