    D2 steering stops

Anyone know which is the part number for the longer steering stop?

    So far I have found:
    FTC5151
TTE000010 which is superceeded by TTE500040

I believe that one is 23mm and one is 29mm. From what I have read shorts were fitted on 16" wheel vehicles due to the narrower tyres, while the longer units were standard on the 18" wheel vehicles.

Apparently "For every 1mm off lockstops it reduces turning circle by 9""

I don't know why the 18 inch wheels had the long lockstops as they had lots of clearance to the suspension arms.
Even when I cut mine to 23Mm there was clearance. Maybe it was for snow chains.
I now have 255.70x16s on with short stops and no problems but a MUCH improved turning circle.
You have to check that the bump stop hits before the steering box reaches its limit. Mine is not completely centred so I had to add a couple of washers on one side.
So why do you want to know the part number? Surely you don't want to fit longer stops. If so you can just use any bolt . I had to as the bump stops are made of cheese and I twisted the head off one removing it.

M10 Socket headed Cap screw and nut does the job just wonderfully...

And can then be fine tuned in length (like D1)

That's exactly what I want to do. I intend to trial fit some 315/75R16 tyres on +30mm wheels and will need longer bump stops to suit.

Yeah, that's probably the best way to go, I just had it in my head to use the factory ones to try and be neat!

I think the socket heads look even neater
