Central diff clicking noise - advise needed

    I ride a 2001 discovery TD5
After locking the central diff, driving on hard surface (parking lot) there is a mechanical noise of engaging teethe in the transfer while driving with steering wheel all the way right or left.

unlocking the central diff, driving under the same environment, noise is gone.

I was assuming it's to be the other way around, noise from center diff while it's open, but no...

    Any idea?

Do not lock the central diff on hard surfaces. When you turn, the front and rear axles are travelling at different speeds and are winding up the drive train.
