The nuts were already desperately in need of a Refresh, otherwise I wouldn't be so blase about it.
Besides, I don't have any more 14mm spanners :Rolling:

I'm guessing it must have been pretty poor quality spanner if it snapped. I am also guessing it stretched before it snapped and this when the bolt was rounded off.

I don't know if my bolt were original but there is no way I could have fitted a tighter spanner.

9/16 is 14.2875 therefore a 14mm spanner is smaller and should be a tighter fit.

I would mind getting myself a set of Metrinch spanners as I have managed to round of a heap of LR bolts. I have never had the problem with any other vehicle I have owned like I do with my Disco so I'm putting it down ti the bolts not the tools. If its a plan standard bolt I'll replace it every time.
