I am a diesel mech so i know how these things can go and i still had not got rid of my old car so worked out all right.
but from all the research i've done if they get cooked real bad they seem to test fine to the magnetic power crack test and die but after a few heat cycles they seem to show up the cracks, maybe a x ray test will show the cracks?

With the nature of the heads it seems that once they start giving trouble it is ongoing. I would bite the bullet and fit a new 1 from Turners. Do it once, do it right! Do that and at least 250K till next time.
    Cheers Scott

Just called by heads been welded up so will see how it goes ill ne oil sampling so will soon see any rises in diesel.
Will probably put bit aside for a turners head in few years if it lasts its all under warranty atm anyway so not costing anything

Welding it up is only going to mean that you will repeating the strip and replace job again in a short period...

Turner replacement head would provide longevity...

while i am not paying for it and its under warranty i cant really do much but budget for a turners head when it fails again.
but least i do know he wasn't lieing when he said it had new pistons rings and bearings in it as ive seen them now and there new
so just gotta bank on a auto rebuild and head in the next few years
