    diesel in oil

As it says got a sump full of diesel
What can cause it cracked head. Injector seals.
Anything else ? Its just had the head done and I suspect they have damaged a injector seal when fitting them any other thoughts?

I would suggest you pull rocker cover off and have a good look. Possibly you may see evidence of which injector is leaking, if not clean as best as possible around injectors and you may see weepage/dribbling from the culprit injector by just turning ignition on and allowing pump to run.

Alternatively take it back to the guys that did the head!

    All the best.

PS: I'm about to do my inj seals as a preventative maintenance issue!

Well if the head has just been done, was it not checked for cracks and harness?? Every alloy head that I remove, as a min it gets professionally checked for cracks and hardness check.

My guess is though, when they did the head they didnt use a genuine top end kit, while not a problem for most of it, using non genuine injector seals are rubbish.

either way, take it back to the repairer.

Its sitting at the workshop where it was done atm.
The guy who did iit who I brought it off friday said he had used genuine orings and copper orings and that the head had been checked for hardness and cracks.
Which is why I thought it must be an injector seal has been caught if all the work done to it was infact done as the receipts say.
Bloody annoying but was glad I decided to stick around melb then travel home aould of been 5 hours away then

Well if the work has been done correctly as your repairer (or as the previous owner) has said, then it prolly is something stupid and I wouldnt be too concerned. Taking it back to the repairer that did the job was your best course of action as once you start messing with things it can make the waters muddy...

just been on the phone to repairer and he has found that number 1 injector tube has a hairline crack, so head is off and down to the engineer's who checked the head over and redone it for a please explain.
so what repair is likely to be done? welding at a guess will be to tight are there replacement injector tubes that can be fitted or is it new head time?

on the good news front no damage to the engine so happy with that

Argh, Ive had a couple of the early heads do this, its thin walled, welding repairs often end up cracking in a different spot. Im sure other repairers have gone through the same issues.

Never mind, as it turns out, it was bad news. On the up side you are happy that there is no other damage, thats the spirit, keep moving forward!!
