When you park car and turn ignition off, open door, a valve opens at compressor area and releases air to drop that side down about an inch ?

Mine will sometimes but not always let air out when a door opens but I have to say because I haven't had test lights on the solenoid valves, i cannot say which valve or valves are opening! I would imagine as weight has been taken out it would be lowering down accordingly. Taking something out the back or gently lifting the back of the car will do the same. Valves will open to drop the height down.
I would suggest you get the correct ride height values check in SLS.
