    Here's something.

We are both posting in the speedo recalibration thread and this one. The system shouldn't go into off road mode over 8km/h.

Maybe these 2 points are linked.

Does the speedo re calibrator change the signal before or after SLABS? I was under the impression it modifies the signal OUT of the SLABS.

    Happy Days.

Everything is working fine. self levels, off road mode comes on when I press the magic button and auto activates when I get hung up. I am purely interested in what the height numbers are so I know If I am within the working limits of the system. It will trigger off road mode on road if it hit a big dip or speed hump. So I thought I might have set something up wrong.

Sorry I cant help you with the numbers mate as I haven't started to set mine up yet. I thought you problem was it would activate the automatic off road mode when you didn't want it to like from hitting a speed hump just a little bit quick.

Does you off road mode automatically cancel once you go over the 8km/h?

Sort of. I have to hold the off road button down for it to cancel itself.

I have other ABS relates issues which i am chipping away at which i am sure are the cause of the self deployment of off road mode on road and the old flutter of the speedo.

    ????

I don't have mine up and going yet but as I understand it. You can manually activate the off road mode, while stopped, by pressing the button. Then once your speed exceeds 8km/h it will automatically cancel without you doing anything except for exceeding that speed.

If this is not happening then maybe this is why off road mode in automatically activating while on road.

    Happy Days.

I think you'll find Off Road Mode cancels at 30kph rising, at least mine does.

Yep. Your right. My mistake. Page 115 of the user manual. 30km/h.

?? So you hit the bump at normal speed and then it starts to inflate the bags to offroad height without your intervention? Sounds more like a loose connection on the wiring from the offroad speed switch circuit? AFAIK the off road height mode is only switched on at the dash, it is not automatic... and it will only come on at speeds of less than 30kph. Presumably you hit the bump at less than 30 so all I can think is something shorts in that circuit as if you hit the button to inflate the bags

I wish it were as easy as a loose plug. I am tricking the ABS system with D1 sensors so it gets all kind of upset.

Page 115 in the users Manual "if the vehicle becomes grounded and traction control is induced, the SLS system automatically pumps more air to the rear springs to raise the body"
