Inputs / Outputs
Pin 1 earth (C0149-1) via the ECM (C0158-20) on a pink/black wire.
Pin 2 (C0149-2)Signal output on a brown/orange wire from the MAF sensor to the ECM (C0158-11) is a variable voltage proportional to
the air drawn into the engine
0V max5V.approx 2v @idle.
Pin 3 (C0149-3)-Battery voltage 12v+ on brown/pink wire-
C0570-5
A common fault is the wires that run over the front
of engine and AC getting damaged and shorting
or giving incorrect feeds check wiring.
It might have been damaged when fitting new MAF
VDO is the original maker.
Ok, I will check the MAF, but I think it is correct as the car runs very nice since I changed it (Before it had issues after start).
But if the MAF causes the gearbox issue, better just to disconnect the MAF (or put back the old one) to see if it solves the problem...?
MAF has changed back to old one, no change.
I attach you a photo about the old oil (2nd change) and a new one. Still very dirty. Seems to be a clutch pack issue.
Yeah bit burned looking you will need to drain and top up about
three times then drop the pan and check filter for solids.
It might keep you going a bit longer but will be needing a rebuild
if you have gritty or metal partials in the fluid.
I have used the car several times in the past weeks and many times it has changed nicely without any isse and only very few times changed around 2800-3200 rpm (from1 to 2).
I have no any experience with auto gearboxes. How does it work when it is in good condition? When should it change from 1 to 2(on flat road)? If I accelerate slowly it goes up to 2200 rpm while the speed is about 30 miles/hour.
Other question: let say in 3rd gear the rpm is about 2000, I start accelerating, the rpm goes up to about 2600 than the speed starts to increase. Is it clutch slip or the torque converter? When the car is in lock up (50miles/h and 1800rpm) it does not happen.
Should I try Lucas Trans fix or leave it as is.
