pull out right hand side headlight, remove grille Then run the cable from under passenger dash through fire wall, lay it along engine bay as per old cable, feed it though the headlight recess and then through front panel into the space behind the grille. Some new cables may come with a bigger ring on the catch end, just drill any holes larger to accommodate. Tip use a cable tie on the "eye to catch" to stop it ever coming off.

I did mine without removing the light by getting my arm in under the grill, but not sure if that is the recommended way!

The tricky bit is breaking into the hard plastic shroud that protects the latch, once that has an opening I stuck a piece of wire in to release the bonnet.

Then its straight forward as described above.

I used a very good pictorial guide which I can not find now but maybe do a search and it'll turn up.

    Cheers, Jerry

Recommend you re-align the bonnet catch before removing and re-installing cable. You may not need it. Many of these 'stretched' cables are probably catch alignment issues.
