    Question Diesel leak

My D2a TD5 is dripping diesel from forward of the tank, drives ok, can't get under to see, any ideas please?

    Hi Nicky
My money is on the 'chafing fuel line' issue, unless you've already had them replaced. I'm guessing not an issue with your fuel filter as you'd be able to see that from the wheel arch.
One of the lines - the return I think - gets trapped and rubs against the chassis eventually wearing through.
The lines can now be bought individually for replacement - a lot cheaper than buying the whole lot, as it used to be!
Not the greatest, but far from the worst job to do on a Td5 .
    Cheers

And contrary to some of the advice on the inter web you DON'T have to drop your tank to replace the lines.

But. It's much easier and you can get in there and insulate the fuel lines properly. Just my 2 cents.

The short green line that runs between the tank and the filter that is the usual culprit.
