    coolant leak from shroud screw

    Okay I removed the radiator shroud to replace the top hose yesterday as the bleed screw had broken off refilled cooling system drove to work and back and now it is leaking from the LH shroud screw even though I made sure I put the screws back in the same location does anyone have any idea how to stop the leak cheers ken

    Your not the first to make this mistake, even with the screws in the same sides they will punch through when tightened. Grind some off the length and put a washer in as a spacer.

    I wrapped my screw with Teflon tape and smeared it with some sikaflex silicon on it, dried out the screw hole and screwed it back together. Let it dry and all good, hasn't leak since.

    I did a repair for a customer yesterday, used epoxy radiator and petrol tank repair putty, you knead it and it sets in 4 mins to rock hard, I then put a shorter screw in

    Terrific someone else with the same problem only mines the right side I shall go at it with epoxy

    Yep already had that in the shed used it to plug the leak then while refitting the hose that goes to the coolant bottle the nipple on the radiator broke off (brittle) so removed the radiator and fitted the one off the d2a I have been wrecking while I was at it check the ecu and oil In the red connector new loom and cover gasket ordered now the wait till they arrive
