    Leather Seat Colour

    All

Just wondering if anyone can tell me the colour of my seats.

    Photos attached.

It's a D2a 2003. I thought it was alpaca but they only list alpaca with black beading. Clearly mine is not with black beading. I'm thinking it might be light stone beige which is from 2002 model (probably to push them out the door).

Were there any other cars with compatible seats. Assuming the 2002 is the same.

    Regards
    Andrew

    (pretty certain it's a light stone beige......interesting)

Not sure, but I'm pretty sure when I bought mine that the dealer said that they send some off on the back of a truck to get the seats reupholstered in leather. If it doesn't fit the catalogue, it may have had the seats redone away from the factory. I guess seat heating would be the telltale.
    Cheers

Looks like manual seats, so possibly an aftermarket job, same as mine

What do you mean? If it has the wiring for the seat heating it's genuine? What would the seat heating look like, yellow cord/wires?

What Slunnie means is that (at least to my knowledge) in Australian vehicles, you either got manual cloth trim or electric heated leather.
All electric seats have the capacity for heated seats, some don't have it connected.
So if you've got manual leather seats, chances are they're an aftermarket re-trim.

Looking at the pics, even if it was aftermarket, the leather is an almost exact match to the plastic trim so I'd say it is Alpaca. The earlier beige in the 2002 models was a darker shade.

    Slunnie, Disco Muppet,
Australia did get Manual Leather seats in the D2a series ONLY,(D2a 03MY to end 04MY-nearly all the run out vehicle came with Leather Manual seats-just to get rid of what was left at Solihul.(D2 from 99MY to end 02MYElectric Only in the ES)
The City pack was the vehicle with rear park sensors, 18"s etc etc as the Country pack got Gen LR seat covers on cloth seats & that Sat Nav unit that clipped to the A pillar.
The Manual leather seats do not have the elements fitted & the vehicle will not have the wiring to the centre console either. (As they were 98% 5 seaters)
The colour options were Tundra, Alpaca Beige, Ebony & Very Limited numbers of Lightstone.

I have put the question to Land Rover Australia.

Will be interesting to see what they come back with.

I had a quick look under my seats the other day and the are two electrical connections (neither connected). One runs back to the centre console, the other in the front centre of the seat. (Might be just be terminals to nothing)

HTH, That's what I was thinking and similar has been put to LRA. Will be interesting if anyone at LRA can recall though (unless you are answering the email).

    Regards

Well, LRA have only came back with what is already established (what you can read in microcat) and a theory on the leather seats in my car.

Pretty sure the wires under the seats are for the DVD player etc.

I have also heard this theory, probably on this site, but LRA did not state anything similar. Not surprised though.
