    To facelift or not?

    As per the title...

    Pros:

SWMBO REALLY wants it to happen, she said she'd even help
    Looks the biz
Better lights in terms of output? (Projector and self leveling so could fit HID)

    Cons:

Expensive, to do and to replace in the event of breakage
    Bit wanky
Involves chopping the car, no coming back from that
I think the rear lights look naff, so half and half?

    No

Lots of work cost and they have drawbacks
light thefts steaming up lenses get scratched
more bulbs more wiring conections etc

Originals are cheap you can also use 300D1main light
if you brake one so more compatible.

But if you want why not it your money

You already have some descent lights on the front so don't need more light. Put the money saved into some other accessories, or buy the GF a present and you can both still be happy.

Let's face it, they still point at cars in Orange. They haven't made the evolutionary leap into tool use there yet.

I'm another one who thought you were contemplating surgery.

No. Get a proper D2a. HSE with a Td5 would suffice.
    Don't get rid of the old D2. If I had a D2a, I wouldn't get it dirty.

    Hi DM
I still have the 'how to' PDF you sent me for the upgrade! I think you should do it...however, if enough of us bug them, maybe we could get Bolt On Bits to do some "Defender" headlamps for the D2, not just the D1's...then my D2 & County would kinda look the same

Watch it Sheerluck, we still know how to use knives....
....Those of us who can afford them

I do have several good guides on how to do it, and if I could get a set cheap I'd probably be more tempted.... might have to keep my eye out....

P.S I'm curious to know who thinks I should get Stevo shorts
