Thread: Transfer case worries!

Prob a silly question...but what is a torque biasing unit?

i have been on the ashcroft site and possibly looking at getting a master rebuild kit.
but maybe all i really need is a good flush and a set of 4 thrust washers?
there is some whining in 5th gear and a slight knock from 1st to 2nd.

will look at what is required to flush...it's out on the ground atm.

Got a holiday coming up, so the money tree hasn't got much fruit on it at the moment.

Not sure which way to go...It all looks a little daunting but in reality i suppose it's just a massive fishing reel on steroids!

i will have a go tomorrow and see how i go, hopefully just the 4 washers and nothing else needs attention. will post findings.
