Crawler gears and defender transfer case ratio

    Hi,

Considering getting crawler gears in my TD5 auto from MR. Has someone done this on a auto? also wondering whether you could use the Defender ration? This is in preparation for the 35" I'm putting on soon.

    Cheers

    Hello,
For putting 35" you would be better to change the diff ratio also you would have to consider the HD axles and CV joints. The legality for 35" on road even 32" you would need a engineering certificate, could be wrong.

    Hi Ian,

yep the engineering part (at present for 33') as well as HD axels, cv's, driveshaft etc is already done but will change gearing from 4.1.1 then again.

Just like to hear from someone who has put crawler gears in the D2 or has some experience with it.

    cheers
