if it's your axle tube seal leaking you will have oil running down the disc backing plate and dripping onto the inside of the wheel rim, so my money is on dog supplied liquid on the tyre.

Of course you are paranoid! Never seen a Muppet that wasnt That vision of DM tasting the wheel is burned in my minds eye now! Not pretty! Need some dettol and wire brush,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,for my eyes!

PS OH and yes my bet it is doggy calling card! A cheap electric fence energizer solves that and tends to relocate male dogs some kms away! I know!
